SRI Inc.
SRI Inc. and the University of Guelph developed a totally synthetic, recyclable growth media for the commercial greenhouse vegetable growers. Over six years in development, SRI is now ready to commercialize this technology. The market exceeds $960 million dollars worldwide and SRI publications are attracting interest from all of the major greenhouse growing regions. Key to our ongoing success is the biosecurity offered by the SRI EnviroGrow System. The major issues facing greenhouse growers are crop killing diseases and harmful contamination of greenhouse vegetables from formaldehyde and tropical bacteria / virus as found in the dominant growth medias on the market today. SRI EGS is well timed for this market with details at our website www.sriegs.ca. SRI EGS can be easily set into existing or new greenhouse systems. SRI EGS eliminates a long list of hardware currently in the typical greenhouse operation. Elimination of drippers and miles of spaghetti tubing and associated hoses headers and connections are replaced by the internal irrigation system. In addition the internal irrigation system filters at the root level down to 1 micron eliminating expensive greenhouse filtration equipment as well as protecting the plants from water borne diseases. SRI is actively seeking investment to generate a ten country demonstration of our Canadian greenhouse technology.

World Green Building Council
In 2002 eight nations formed the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC), a union of national councils whose mission is to accelerate the transformation of the built environment towards sustainability. The WorldGBC is rapidly building an international coalition that represents the entire global construction industry. Collectively, our Member councils represent 50% of global construction activity, and their councils touch more than ten thousand companies and organizations. The WorldGBC provides an international forum, and champions proven tools that significantly accelerate market transformation from traditional, inefficient building practices to new generation high-performance buildings, and transform the skills and knowledge of the industry as a whole.
